Scott-Grant are widely acknowledged as the best training provider of The IMS Certificate – a professional qualification

The IMS Certificate is a professional qualification for people who are serious about improving productivity.

We offer a four week modular course that’s exciting, challenging, flexible and practical.

How the IMS Certificate modules work

To study for the full IMS Certificate you must attend Modules 1, 2, 3 and 4. If you prefer, you can attend any of these Modules, except Option 2a, without committing to the certificate qualification.

Each of the four modules is subject to continuous lecturer assessment and has an examination on day 5. There’s some flexibility in the order in which you can take the modules but Module 1 must be taken before Module 2a. If you take all four modules and are successful, you can achieve a qualification: the IMS Certificate – the industry standard for productivity professionals.

Remember, if you prefer you can just study Modules 1, 3 or 4 as individual, stand-alone courses.

Membership of the Institute of Management Services

If you take the examinations leading to the IMS Certificate you must first become a member of the IMS. This membership is also required if you take only Modules 1 and 2a to become a qualified work measurement practitioner, as Module 2a is externally certified by the IMS. Institute membership is £160 for 2016. IMS membership is based on a rolling year, rather than a calendar year.

Life membership can be applied for at the point of final certification and will include the automatic upgrade from Affiliate to Associate Member (so you can add AMS after your name). IMS life membership (as a one-off cost) is currently available at £290.

We can arrange appropriate membership for you and include it on your invoice.

The Institute of Management Services

The Institute of Management Services (IMS) is the primary body in the UK concerned with the promotion, practice and development of the range of methodologies and techniques for the improvement of productivity and quality, known collectively as “Management Services”. This embraces the disciplines of industrial engineering, work study, organisation and methods, continuous improvement, Lean and quality. The Institute is the qualifying body for the Management Services and industrial engineering professions.
