Standard Performance

Standard Performance is defined as “The pace of work that a qualified worker conversant with the task is able to maintain under proper conditions throughout the normal working day without undue fatigue, providing they take the right amount of rest.“

The standard against which all work is measured is known as 100 performance using the BSI 0/100 rating scale. As we’re all different and work measurement measures the task not the worker, performance rating enables the variations of each individual’s ability, speed or skill to be levelled out. In this way no matter whether you observe a slow or fast employee, the time for the job after applying performance rating should be the same.

“HOW DO YOU RATE?” is a practical, interactive DVD (produced by Scott-Grant) that explains how to measure work content using Performance Rating. It’s fun and it’s memorable. Find out more..
