When you are responsible for activities using resources such as people and equipment, you will be influencing their performance and costs. So how do you establish existing performance levels and more importantly, the opportunities to improve?

We identify and discuss ways of assessing the effective performance of such resources. You will learn how to gauge individual performance and examine the many factors that restrict it and cause added costs.

The concept of work content and standard times, effective methods, Lean principles and standard performance will all be described and discussed. You will develop a better understanding of what you can do to influence higher performance, recognising it’s not just about working harder. Time and motion will take on a different meaning!

Team leaders, line managers, cell leaders and supervisors across all sectors have found these two days invaluable – You will too!

Statistical Process Control/Six Sigma – an introduction     2 days

Statistical Process Control (SPC) is the most used method of management control of a process through the use of statistics or statistical methods. This structured approach has been used to great effect by a wide range of organisations including financial and service industries, leisure, government departments, manufacturing, retail, warehousing and distribution.

Six Sigma is the continuous pursuit of waste elimination, reduced variation and defect prevention. This Lean approach utilises statistics and other tools and techniques to identify opportunities, to implement and measure improvement and maintain control of the process.

It is a unique, practical programme that will introduce delegates to both approaches highlighting areas of commonality and variation.

This course will be scheduled to suit your requirements – please check with us for details.
