Institute of Management Services (IMS) Certificate Course 

The IMS Certificate is a professional qualification for those who are serious about improving productivity. As an approved training provider of the Institute of Management Services (IMS), we have created a four week course that is not only exciting and challenging, but also flexible and practical.

There are four modules to the Certificate course, each subject to continuous lecturer assessment and each with an examination on the final, fifth day. You can take them as individual modules, or if you take them all and are successful, you can achieve a qualification which is the industry standard for productivity professionals:
The IMS Certificate.

There are various options for you to choose from. You will find a full explanation of each module by following their particular link.

You must start with the 5 day course Module 1 – Productivity Foundation, before attending Module 2. But if you prefer to attend Module 3 or 4 before that, you may do so. Whichever is the last module you attend you will have to take a final course exam.

Then there are three options for Module 2, so you can choose the work measurement technique that’s most appropriate to your current working environment. When you pass the examination at the end of the 5 day course, you will gain a formal work measurement certification in that technique.

Module 3 Improving Methods and Processes and Module 4 Developing a Lean Environment are each 5 day courses which can be taken in any sequence.

Membership of the IMS
If you take the examinations leading to the IMS Certificate you must first become a member of the IMS. IMS membership is also required if you take only Modules 1 and 2a to become a qualified work measurement practitioner, as Module 2a is externally certified by the IMS. Institute membership is £135 for 2012; we can arrange this for you and include it on your invoice.
